Child Mental Health Initiative
In January 2001, Learning Together began the Child Mental Health Initiative (CMHI) to provide comprehensive services to children birth to six years of age who have demonstrated serious social, emotional, behavioral, and /or mental health concerns that have jeopardized their child care, family life, and future growth and development. CMHI offers individualized treatment and parent counseling.
These services can take place in the child's home, childcare centers, or within the child's school classroom. Home-based therapy promotes parent training in Floor Time play therapy techniques and school-based therapy promotes social skills and frustration tolerance.
