The community program at Learning Together, Inc. serves children from birth to 5 years old. Our developmental therapy services focus on children from birth to age 3. The DT services are provided in the child’s natural environment, which often times is the home. Our referrals come from the Children’s Developmental Services Agency where the parents choose the provider to serve his or her child. Children are seen weekly. The Developmental Therapy staff also holds a weekly play group to encourage social interaction and to facilitate communication/language skills.

 

The program also provides services to children ages 3 to 5 years old; these referrals ONLY come from Wake County Public Schools. The children have an Individual Education Program (IEP) and the certified birth through kindergarten teacher provides the appropriate services. The children who have IEP’s may be seen in their home or preschool.
