Tees for Tots Golf Tournament Supports Children of all Abilities

Raleigh, NC—Tees for Tots was a great success! The 8th Annual Tees for Tots Charity Golf Tournament, held on Monday, October 8, 2012 at Brier Creek Country Club & Golf Course, raised nearly $24,000 to support the critical mission of meeting the developmental, educational and health needs of young children of all abilities at Learning Together.

Inclement weather did not dampen the spirits of the more than 130 golfers and volunteers who participated in the tournament. Through generous donations and sponsorships given to the event, participants enjoyed golf, prizes, raffles, networking, food and fun in support of young children of all abilities.

Sponsors for the 8th Annual Tees for Tots Tournament included: Alfred Williams & Company, ASPE, BDO, Blue Ribbon Residential Construction, Brasfield & Gorrie, Comperio Retirement Consulting, CARQUEST, Grant Thornton, Knier Family Foundation, National Coatings & Supplies, NBC17, Thomas Judy & Tucker, Troutman Sanders and Eric and Whitney vonHaam.

"We are so appreciative of the financial and in-kind contributions we received from individuals, businesses and corporations to support our Tees for Tots tournament," stated Nell Barnes, Executive Director of Learning Together. "The generosity of our community partners allows us to continue our mission and ensure that each child receives the tools and foundation they need to reach their full potential. The impact the tournament has on our ability to serve young children at a critical time of brain development is felt daily. Our gratitude cannot be expressed enough."
